Sometimes I wonder if the nick name for Chicago was really meant for here. The wind here has been absolutely crazy. The minions and I were walking across the street last night to get to cub scouts and Griddles almost blew away. I had to grab her by the back of the jacket to prevent her from being blown over. Poor little girl. But probably the worst thing that comes with the wind are the fires. We have had some seriously horrible fires around here lately. In fact, one last night burned over 7,000 acres of land. And with fires, in comes the fire fighters, which means Bubs' dad is working double time. The husband was at a fire last night for over 12 hours. He was beat and still sneezing black soot...pretty huh?
